Now I am an old lady, and I can truthfully declare that old ladies are the most humorous living creatures, and it is not by chance but by living long and seeing much. You have been living so long that you can no longer care so much about what other people are saying and that is what makes you free to speak in a simple and straightforward manner. I have come to know that not everything in life is serious and therefore I find minor things funny since I have already witnessed huge issues. When you have had bad days, it makes your heart light in a new way and you begin to laugh more easily.
Old Ladies Are Funny
I suspect old ladies are funny, as we never attempt to impress anybody now, but simply speak as we please, and that fact alone causes people to laugh. I also think we are much more conscious of little things that young people are not, and they can be a funny sight when you view with relaxed eyes. Now, after years of life I have realized that errors are also a part of life, so I laugh at them rather than conceal them and this makes life a bit lighter. I assert that it is those experiences that define the way we perceive all things around us.
So when I speak, it is not intended to make people laugh, but the life itself has made my words sound funny, as they are born in actual situations. I have also observed that as we are getting older, we less fear being stupid, and that there is something humorous about being free. We repeat some things too, or forget some things, but rather than get down on ourselves we make it a laugh, and then other people laugh. I feel that acceptance brings about humor and old ladies have learned to accept a lot of things, change, loss and even time.

It is due to this that we talk in a manner that is simple and at the same time surprising. I believe that youths over-think before they speak, yet we talk as it is our habit, and because it is natural and humorous. I have gone through that, the more light you have on your mind, the more easily words come out and the less effortlessly you can laugh. Old maids also have little pleasures, and when you are in good humor, you speak in a pleasant light. I say that people become funny as they get older as you come to know better about life, and the less serious you are about everything the happier you become.

I am now at the point where I laugh at things that previously upset me, and even the fact that I am now able to laugh makes me laugh. To me, being funny does not involve an attempt but living a life and letting your words portray it.
