For years after her 2018 split from Justin Theroux, Jennifer Aniston kept her love life almost entirely out of the spotlight. Then, in the summer of 2025, a quiet dinner at a Big Sur hotel and a trip to Mallorca with friends, including Jason Bateman, set off the first whispers about a new man, Jim Curtis, an author, hypnotherapist and wellness coach with more than 600,000 followers on Instagram.
According to a source who spoke to People, it began very simply.
“They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She’s really into self-help and wellness,” the source told People last year.
The connection even showed up in her own life. A few months earlier, Aniston told Travel + Leisure that she’d been using hypnosis to overcome her fear of flying.
“But I have been doing some hypnosis lately… it’s shockingly good!” she said last year.
Not long after, she went Instagram official, posting a photo of the two of them with a two word caption, “My love.” They marked their first year together this July with a summer photo dump, and in September they made their first public work appearance together, at an event at 92NY.
Curtis has been open about how he sees her. Speaking on The Jamie Kern Lima Show in August, he described Aniston as grounded, caring, kind, and open-hearted.
And last month, when he released his new book, The Book of Possibility, she shared the cover with her fans.
“I love this book,” Aniston wrote on Instagram last month.
There’s been no engagement or wedding announced, and both seem content to keep things low-key, but friends say they’ve settled into a comfortable rhythm.
